Essence
At times, the vast sky seems to transform into an immense, boundless space. In such moments, the many hues of the setting sun appear to dissolve into it. The forms of the clouds and their interplay of colours seem like a painting just completed by an artist.
Sometimes, lines appear to divide this vast space.
Reflections of the sky, trees and objects around us, mirrored in water, seem to take us into an unseen dream.
During the monsoon, the water falling on the earth and the droplets rising from it create a different kind of experience-almost three-dimensional.
The shadows of trees, branches and leaves, cast upon the ground or on architectural surfaces, bring a quiet sense of joy.
At times, the sky reveals what feels like a divine light. There is a distinct sense of energy and vitality within it. The forms created by this light seem to come alive, as though they are beginning to communicate with us.
The lines formed by dried grass in a field can sometimes resemble a sketch casually drawn by an artist.
In countless such moments, colours, lines, forms, shapes and textures seem to come together—leading us towards abstraction, and ultimately, towards the formless.
Essence is an attempt to bring together some of these fleeting visual moments-ordinary scenes that, when observed differently, reveal something beyond what they appear to be.
